Charges keep piling up for man arrested 3 times in 8 days

It's one thing to get arrested, but it's another to get arrested multiple times in a few days. Getting arrested multiple times makes you look very bad in the eyes of the law, even if they're all coincidental or as a result of being set up by the same officer multiple times.

This case is a good example, however, of how a single arrest can lead to several others as a case unfolds. As new charges mount, the initial arrest may lead to arrests later in the week or month for people accused.

Take, for example, this case involving a 41-year-old man from Rowan County. The man was arrested three times over the course of eight days. He's been charged with trafficking heroin.

Initially, the man was arrested at his home after investigators discovered heroin packaged and ready to sell along with cash and suspected stolen property. He was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a home for selling and keeping controlled substances, trafficking heroin by possession and other crimes.

Deputies arrived at his home again several days later to arrest him for charges of conspiracy, which were related to the first arrest. When they arrived, they caught the man's girlfriend allegedly injecting herself with heroin.

The man was arrested a third time when it was alleged that he was counterfeiting money and evading taxes.

If you're accused of a crime, take the time to defend yourself. With a good defense in place, you may be able to avoid additional charges after an initial arrest is completed.
