No matter who you are, it’s a danger to get behind the wheel and drive. Even if you don’t hurt anyone else, you’re threatening your own health and safety.
It’s always important to know when you’re too intoxicated to drive. You should call a taxi or have a designated driver ready to take you home. If you don’t, you could end up in the following kind of situation.
If you follow the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), then you may be familiar with the wrestler Jeff Hardy. He is a professional wrestler and part of the Hardy Boyz, a tag-team put together for the WWE.
Star status doesn’t mean anything when it comes to the law, though. According to a report from March 12, the man was recently arrested and charged with a DWI after getting into a single-vehicle collision in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. No one was hurt, fortunately.
The police at the scene reported that the wrestler blew .25 percent blood alcohol concentration (BAC) on the Breathalyzer, while the state’s legal limit is no higher than .08 percent BAC. The man now has to appear at a court date in April to enter his plea.
If you fail a Breathalyzer test or roadside sobriety tests, you still shouldn’t admit to any crimes. Make sure you understand your rights when you’re arrested. You can ask to talk to your attorney and shouldn’t speak to anyone who wants to interview you without having your rights read. Most DUI cases are straightforward, but there are ways to help you avoid serious penalties if you wait to speak with your defense attorney.
